Back to the Sewing Room

I have my sewing room back now and it was good to get back down there, although I will miss my sister, I'm sure they will be back again soon. We had a short three day comedy cruise which was fun and now I can back into routine - well until the next break away. I started with the catch up of Moda Blockheads 4, and block 17 - Shoreline, designed by Camille Roskelley. Gee I have a lot to catch up on.

With August over I have a few blocks to finish in the August Rainbow Scrap Challenge using the colour of orange.

I 'collect' scraps. Strips when trimming fabrics that I store in old clear flour containers, and left over tiny scraps that I store in plactic zip lock bags. They come in handy for applique, foundation paper piecing and art post cards. Now I am going to use them for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.

Here are four of the completed blocks from August. I did finish the other blocks that I started, but unfortunately my iPhone died yesterday (it was new in 2014!!). I'll take photos soon and post in next blog.

I'm making sizes 6.5" and 4.5". Thinking of making  some colourful baby quilts and maybe some placemats. The colour for September is blue.
