My Second Finish for the Year

Had a couple of weeks on another relaxing adventure, didn't even do any hand stitching.

Back now and I finally finished quilting Lupines and Laughter quilt, designed by Bonnie Hunter.

I decided to use orphan blocks as the backing, but don't think I will use so many next time. I've used spare blocks from quilts to join two pieces of fabric for the backing previously, and that was much easier. Some of the blocks were left overs, some were from projects I didn't finish. The purple blocks were for a quilt I was making for a good friend, who sadly, suddenly passed, before I had finished. I'm happy to include them in this quilt as it will live on our bed.

Anyway, I made a big dent in my ophan blocks box.
