Focus cutting theme for May was animals.
17 - motif - I love this cat knitting fabric.
18 - sections top. I made this block using one bunny ear each section. Thought it looked good turning it into a tree.
19 - sections bottom - I have yardage of this ladybird print. I used the bottom of the ladybirds to make the wonky centre. I think I bought this fabric years ago to make a dress for GD 1 - who is now almost 13 and a bit old for it. As a result I made a few different ladybird blocks.
20 - pattern matching - my least favourite type of fussy / focus cutting as so much fabric is wasted. As a result I matched only 3 of the six sections - and of course I have rooster fabric.
And one mustn't forget to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
21 - anything to celebrate the Jubilee. I purchased this fabric in Western Australia last year, for no reason I just liked it, and it was perfect for this prompt.

We recorded the concert too and watched it in the evening. Most enjoyable, but wish we had we thought of having something special to eat and drink!.
ReplyDeleteAny excuse for a tea party Jenny :)
