In the Sewing Room This Week

Not a lot! Monday was socialising - a lovely lunch with friends; Tuesday and Wednesday home office work. This left Thursday and Friday which consisted of basting the Modern Triangles 'Solitaire' quilt.

That's all finished now and 'basting' table has been put away until next time. Next step is the quilting. I will need to get back to the pattern to see what is suggested for the quilting pattern.

I started putting together some of the scrappy butterflies to perhaps make a baby quilt.

I was asked to hand stitch a small coaster for my granddaughter in yellow, with her name on it - similar to one I had made her mother a few years back. This was the result.

  1. The modern triangles quilt is such an intriguing pattern. Love the palette. Those scrappy butterflies are so cheerful lined up all in a row.

  2. Your granddaughter will love her very own personal coaster. Pretty butterfly blocks, reminds me i have some tucked away from several RSCs ago.
