Fairy Panel Quilt Update

We went on a road trip down south to visit family and enjoyed a few weeks travelling regional town. I took some hand stitching with me but did very little. Now we are back home I'm looking forward to working on the Fairy Panel Quilt.

I'm using Moda Blockheads to surround the panel ans will put inner borders to get the sizing right. I love the way so many different blocks can be made from one block pattern.

Here are some variations of block 9.

I'm looking forward the heading downstairs to sew.

  1. Your variation on a block them, a nine patch with simple pieced units, reminds me of Doreen Speckman. She thought of blocks that way. Even gave her pieces names, Peaky and Spike. The angel panel is such fun.

  2. That is such a pretty fairy panel, are you making it for someone special? Or maybe, just because.
