Bonnie's new mystery started two weeks ago. You can find it here
http://quiltville.blogspot.com.au/p/easy-street-mystery.html
and I'll put a link on the side bar also
We were told the colours about a month ago, and from the original suggestion of grey constant; black on white print; purple; teal/green/turquoise; and lime green - I only changed the lime green to bright pink :)
I was a bit concerned about the grey as I could only find this grey with the white and teal pattern.
I thought if it didn't work I'll go out and find another piece of fabric.
Part 1
This part consisted of making four patch blocks using the grey and the black on white fabrics. I think the grey works well here.
I like to cut extra off with the selvage to use in another project later - I have quite a collection of them now.
I like the way the back also makes a little four patch
Happy sewing
Allison
Hi Allison
ReplyDeleteNice that you are blogging again. Looks like you will be having fun with the new Bonnie Hunter Mystery quilt. I have one from a couple of years ago - but it is still not finished. Must get on withy it again soon.
Hi Jenny - really wish I had more time to blog. I love Mystery quilts. You must do the new mystery quilt. Bonnie promises that it won't be a time consuming as the last one :)
DeleteCindy W Aus, Brisbane actually.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I subscribe to your Blog, as that is the only way I remembered to have a look at Bonnies Easy Street. I meant to start her mystery this year and this looks like my colours, however I forgot to keep an eye out for the start date and if it wasn't for you posting something about it a few weeks back, I would have missed the boat completely.
I love your Fabric by the way and LOVE your constant. I spied at least one of my fabrics in your purple pile, reminds me to dig deeper from my stash to get my fabric together.
I Really enjoy seeing what you create and it was seeing you in a link-up from last years mystery that I have started following you.
I am a purple lefty girl too.
Hi Cindy, so glad I reminded you to do Easy Street. I love mystery quilts. I would love to see what you create. I only wish I didn't need to work and could stay t home and sew all day - how lovely that would be to created objects to enjoy. I was so worried about my constant - but it worked well so all is good.
