I have been working on two Unity quilts. About halfway through the first quilt for daughter number 2, daughter number 1 liked the pattern and asked for a grey quilt. I must admit I wasn't too keen to make a grey quilt but I am happily surprised at how good it looks. However, I did do a lot of unpicking in these quilts to get the pattern exactly right, and it was well worth it.
Unpicking is not something any of us like to do, and often I will leave the 'mistake' in rather than unpick but in these quilts I wanted the pattern perfect, well almost perfect.
The difference between the two quilts is noticeable but both look really good and I'm sure the girls will like them.
There were so many HST's in these quilts and I find it hard to believe some complain about making them. I love making them.
They are so easy to make, and so versatile.
I'm now up to the last round of the grey quilt, well technically it is the second last step, but I've decided I won't do the top and bottom to make the quilts longer.
All that will be left to do is decide on the borders for each quilt.
The coming weeks I am going to re visit some WIP's (Works In Progress) including Farmers Wife 1930 blocks, and an applique children's quilt.
They're both gorgeous, nice to see the different colourways side by side. I don't mind hsts, but that many would take me forever!
